Dealership gets $183 for a switchblade keyfob, PLUS $80 to "program" it. :eek1 He says the one key I have will also require re-programming once the new key is assigned (no additional charge, how nice). Anyway, that's nearly $300 for a spare key!

Feb 27, 2008 · 1x b6 plastic key. 1x B7 switchblade. Screwdriver. Blade (ex carpenters knife, or slim blade) I used a swiss army knife. Instructions: Start off by taking your plastic key and look for the opening the plastic key. Simply flip the plastic key on its belly (opposite to the audi logo) and take your blade and gently pry it in. The immobilizer chip must be programmed at the Audi dealer. Your other option i -- -The following procedure will program the key fob to unlock/lock the Audi.
Apr 16, 2010 · Hi, i have two keys, one that all works ok ie unlocks with the remote and manualy and starts the car with part # 8ZO 837 231/355029 02/02 433.92 MHz, and one which works manualy (unlocks and starts the car) but dosen't work on the remote (audi could't pair this) with a part # 4DO 837 321 A no idea on the mhz as it has a sticker over it but would presume it is different hence why it won't pair.
